Java Staff Software Engineer

About the Role

As a Staff Software Engineer , you will be an individual contributor in a platform-level role. You will be responsible for driving the end-to-end delivery of the team's products on hybrid architectures, while also mentoring and coaching less experienced software engineers and defining the future technical direction of our current systems.

What You'll Do

Own and manage the development lifecycle of the products and ecosystem delivered by the team.

Define coding standards and actively enforce their correct adoption across the team

Develop architectural designs at the L0, L1, and L2 levels.

Communicate solution details clearly to the rest of the team and guide engineers toward correct implementations.

Identify and build efficient paths to automate workflows, testing pipelines, and incident response.

Plan and design the migration of legacy systems to the cloud or hybrid cloud environments.

Qualifications

What You'll Bring

8+ years of solid, hands-on coding experience with a primary focus on the Java ecosystem

Deep knowledge about the Spring Framework and the most used modules

Deep knowledge of the JDK , the JVM, and the Java language — including collections, data structures, conditionals, and multithreading

Solid understanding and application of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles

Experience managing database connections and working with both SQL and NoSQL database engines

Strong grasp of cloud computing concepts , container orchestration ( Kubernetes ), and related technologies

Proven experience implementing design patterns and integration patterns

Excellent ability to independently analyze complex issues, develop innovative solutions, and provide technical leadership

Highly collaborative mindset with a genuine curiosity to learn and explore software in depth

Strong understanding of the cloud-based software development lifecycle.

Nice to Have

Experience with JSPs

Familiarity with React

Java/Spring Certification
