About the role

We are seeking an IT Application development and deployment Specialist to lead and ensure the success of Floor shop control system implementationsacross North America. In this role, you will manage broad functional areas with limited supervision, combining advanced technical expertise with strategic policy evaluation. You will also provide second-level support and act as a critical liaison between plant IT and corporate IT teams.

Key responsibilities

A Manager (M3) manages experienced professionals who exercise latitude and independence in assignments.

Responsibilities typically include:

- Policy and strategy implementation for short-term results (1 year or less)

- Problems faced are difficult to moderately complex

- Influences others outside of own job area regarding policies, practices and procedures

Education and experience required

- Degree: BS/BA degree or equivalent professional experience.

- Experience: 6+ years of relevant IT deployment or management experience.

- Industry: Manufacturing experience with ERP/MRP systems (Automotive industry preferred).

Technical skills

- IBM iSeries: Moderate IBM iSeries (AS/400) operations and programming experience.

- Architecture: Strong understanding of program architecture, specifically IBM RPG IV and CL.

- Pluses: Prior familiarity with EDIsystems is a distinct advantage.
