Lead Material Flow Expert

Eaton\u2019s ES AMER PCS division is currently seeking a Lead Material Flow Expert. \n\n## What you\u2019ll do:\n\n \nThe Lead Material Flow Expert is responsible for the definition, deployment, and maintenance of the material flow strategies across Bussmann Juarez facility, through effective leadership of team members in logistics, receiving, warehouse, production, and shipping. By applying Lean /Six Sigma tools to take Eaton\u2019s materials management processes to a World Class level. \n \nIt has full responsibility to support inventory accuracy and material management. Primarily a strategic position, the Lead Material Flow Expert directly supports key strategic objectives by leading and directing the business process to provide high customer satisfaction while meeting or exceeding internal business unit goals and objectives. \n \nIn this role, you will: \n\u2022 Ensure cross functional (Plant Production, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering and Material Handling) aligned assumptions, layouts, and timing for kitting applications \n\u2022 Lead implementation of Material Flow Strategy (forklift free, kitting, floor space optimization, \u0026 third-party cost minimization) implementation for the factory. \n\u2022 Responsible for delivering kitting solutions to material flow challenges including containerization, kit cell layout, kit flow plan, kit delivery and IT requirements. \n\u2022 Present kitting concepts and designs to internal customers and executive audiences to convincingly explain need, innovation, and business case. \n\u2022 Manages product flow from stock, through quality inspection, with delivery to the shipping department. \n\u2022 Supervises daily workflow of material handling operations. \n\u2022 Design and implement a world class inventory management system that seamlessly integrates with the Lean Manufacturing process. \n\u2022 Provide necessary leadership and training to build and maintain a strong inventory management team. Writes and maintains departmental work instructions and maintains departmental training documentation. \n\u2022 Interfaces with other plant departments as required maintaining inventory accuracy and optimizing material flow. Works with production planners with Kanban systems, consignment programs and cycle counts. Remove material flow constraints through long-term sustainable corrective actions and solutions. \n\u2022 Develop effective KPI s to measure and improve team s performance. \n\u2022 Participate and Lead Kaizen improvement projects. \n\u2022 Performs miscellaneous related duties and carries out special projects as assigned. \n\u2022 Comply with the procedures, work instructions and work regulations of the different management systems (ISO9001, ISO14001, IATF16946, CTPAT, OEA and those that the company registers) Incumbent in accordance with the established manuals and guarantee compliance with the registers of legal, quality, environment, health and safety regulations, OEA, CTPAT, etc. within the company\n\n## Qualifications:\n\nRequired Qualifications: \n\u2022 Bachelor\u2019s degree \n\u2022 Minimum of 5 years of experience in similar position. \n\u2022 Working knowledge of MRP systems, just in time concepts and respective production processes \n\u2022 Knowledge of basic planning tools (JIT; Kanban safety stocks, level loading, etc.). \n\u2022 Inventory Management Knowledge is needed (Kanban, Kitting, Fix locations, PFEP, Material Presentation, etc.) \n\u2022 Bilingual -Spanish / English \n\u2022 Basic Quality Systems knowledge is required. \n \n\n\nPreferred Qualifications: \n\u2022 APICS CPIM is a plus. \n \n\n\nQualifications for the Position: \n\u2022 Global Perspective \n\u2022 Teamwork \n\u2022 Responsibility (ELM) \n\u2022 Decision making \n\u2022 Communication \n\u2022 Customer Focused. \n \n\n\nBasic Qualifications: \n\u2022 Strong interpersonal and communication skills and be able to work effectively with diverse and cross-functional groups. \n\u2022 Strategic Thinking. \n\u2022 Self-Driven. \n\u2022 Excellent organizational skills for managing large volumes of components part numbers. \n\u2022 Strong Leadership skills to inspire others.\n\n#LI-CR1 \n\nAll positions may require participation in video and in-person interviews as part of the hiring process.
