BackEnd AWS Developer Sr (Node/NestJS)

Requirements +5 years of experience with: Advanced proficiency in Node.js, NestJS and TypeScript for the design and development of enterprise backend applications.

Hands-on experience with MongoDB Atlas: schema design, JSON Schema validation, Atlas CLI.

Knowledge of distributed systems, service-to-service communication, amd Event-driven architecture patterns, with hands-on AWS MSK (Kafka) and EventBridge experience

Strong experience with contract-first API design, using REST and AsyncAPI as the source of truth for service development, integrations, and event-driven architectures.

OAuth2 / OpenID Connect for auth

Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services for application deployment, integration, and operations (ECS, Lambda, MSK, EventBridge, S3)

Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices using tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and Docker.

Application of SOLID principles, clean code practices, and secure coding standards.

Effectively prompts, steers, and critically reviews AI coding agents (e.g. Claude Code, Cursor), applying the same rigor to AI-generated code as human-written code

Writes clear implementation specs that agents can reliably act on, and validates agent output against acceptance criteria before merging

Technical solution design, requirements analysis, and implementation of scalable backend components.

Responsibilities Development and integration of applications

Drive application reliability, observability, and performance optimization across cloud-native AWS services.

Collaborate in Agile ceremonies, providing technical estimates, refining requirements, and driving successful delivery of high-quality software solutions.
